The Homeless Outreach Program provides free legal assistance for homeless, or those at-risk of becoming homeless, on legal issues, including:

access to housing, employment, income support, counselling, referrals to other social services
assistance obtaining photo identification, birth certificate and information regarding SIN cards
assistance with the housing issues leading to homelessness
direct team support from a lawyer and a social advocate

Identification

The HOP program assists hundards every year with accessing identification and cards of entitlement such as Canadian Birth Certificates, Alberta Health Care cards, and Social Insurance cards.

We run affidavit ID clinics at the office most Wednesdays by referal and most Fridays on a drop-in basis. Clients must be at the office at 1pm for the Wednesday clinics and 9am for Friday clinics. Please call the office to confirm that there is clinic the day you plan to attend.

We also run several outreach ID clinics every month at various agencies around the city. At these clinics we assist clients in applying for Canadian Birth Certificates, Alberta Health Care cards, and Social Insurance cards. At some clinics we also offer affidavit IDs. Clinics marked with CO are only open to clients from the hosting agency
Clinics marked with OP are open to the public (who meet the max income requierments)
