Domestic Violence Legal Intervention

The Domestic Violence Legal Intervention program provides legal information and assistance for adult victims of domestic violence. This program offers victims of domestic violence:
  • Court Preparation (CP) assistance which empowers victims of family violence through help and supports
  • independent legal information about the criminal court process
  • court orientation sessions for clients subpoenaed to testify
  • court accompaniment
  • emotional support
  • information about and referrals to community supports and resources
  • lawyers who assist victims of intimate partner abuse with access to court ordered protection such as Restraining Orders (RO) and Emergency Protection Orders (EPO)
